Now, on to today's post.
It's 2016!!! Can you believe it?! If you would've asked me what my plans where for 2015 last year, I would've told you something completely different then what actually happened.
I'm not going to lie and say it was an easy year, because it wasn't. Within the first month of this year, things got off on a rough start. I thought it was hard then. But ooooohhhh man, I had no clue. I had no idea of the lonely, sad, and empty days that were ahead of me. As those days hit, I remember thinking "There's no way this could ever get better." which I truly believe was just one of the many lies that Satan was trying to tell me.
Now I look at my life and can't even begin to count all the amazing things that God did in my life this past year.
So, instead of dwelling on the messy parts of this past year, I'm gonna talk about all the highlights from this year.
1. Grandview Missions Trip.
When I think of the biggest blessings from this year, the first thing that comes to mind, is the missions trip I had the opportunity to go on, back in August.
I got to see the Lord work in mighty ways, and see His hand in everything.
He showed me that I am worth using for His glory, and that is something I will never forget. I made and strengthened some amazing friendships along the way, as well.
2. Meeting Kristi.
If you want to read more about the day I got to meet one of my best friends, then scroll back a bit, because I posted about it not too long ago.
But, meeting Kristi was one of the biggest highlights of my whole year. Kristi has been such an encouragement to me through the rough patches of this year, and it was truly a dream come true to have been able to meet her.
3. The birth of 2 more cousins!!
I have a lot of cousins. Between 2nd and 1st cousins, I have upwards of 50 cousins. It was SO cool to gain 2 more cousins this year!! Their names are Mira Danielle, and Micah Conan. 😍
For the last picture, which is probably the picture of the year. My brother, blowing out all the candles on his, my sister, and my birthday cake, before we could even blink.
4. Donovan Herbert Sparklez.
Now, I haven't talked about this one on the blog yet. But if you're friends with me on Facebook, or you follow me on Instagram, then you know all about this guy.
His name is Donovan, and he's my hedgie.
For my birthday, one of my favorite people, GAVE ME HIS HEDGEHOG. Now, anybody who knows me well, knows that I am completely 10000% a hedgehog enthusiast, so getting a real one is obviously gonna be one of the highlights of my year.
thank you thank you thank you Killian.
Welp, those are the biggest things that have happened. Now I'm gonna add some of my pictures and memories from this year.
My brother, Christian, played football for our local high school, and going to his games was so fun! Well, that's it for today! I hope you all have a great day!! Happy New Year, and may the Lord bless you this coming year!!
Love,
-Abigail Rose❤️
